The Pentagram is said to represent the four elements together with the Fifth Element which is Spirit. Most often, howevever, the pentagram respresents the five stages of life - Birth, Initiation, Love, Repose and Death: the cyclic nature of existence for all of us. Total cost: $5:00. Bellarmine Jars or The Witch's Bottle Bellarmine Jars were large jars decorated with the face of a bearded man, said to be one Cardinal Bellarmine. Often the Jar actually had three faces of the same man, sometimes conjoined. It is believed that they actually represent the Horned God. Bellarmine Jars were particularly favoured for bottle magick.The Witches Bottle is designed to protect an individual from a direct curse. The Witches Bottle is a collection of charms places in a bottle as part of casting a spell. Most often the spell is one of protection, serving as a deterrent against negative spirits or energy. The bottle is usually green or amber in colour. The ingredients typically include herbs, thorns or pins, charms, stones and other items. In older Traditions, the bottle also contained urine and saliva. Typically the Witch Bottle is buried in the ground or placed out of sight on a shelf.I am currently working on my Bellarmine Jar with scrap leather that I have left over from various leather workings. I also have a friend in the leather business who doesn't mind giving me his scrap leather. I am also using a "Moccona Coffee Jar" which I am recycling. Leather $0:00, Jar $0:00. Total cost $0:00. The Robes As I am of Correllian Tradition, I have two robes. One white for the light half of the year, and one black for the dark half of the year. They are 100% cotton, with silk edging and hand-made. Total cost for both robes $20:00 Australian. The Correllian Stole As I am an ordained member of the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca, I also have a stole. It is two yards long, and has the Correllium symbol on the left - which symbolises my Tradition. On the right is my Status Badge, which represents which degree I am up to, as you see here I have achieved First Degree Status. The Badges were hand embroidered by a business in Port Pirie (some 150km away) and total cost for those two were $22:00 Australian. Correllian Temples use the stole as a vestment, wearing during ritual and for other sacred occassions. The stole is a length of purple fabric, usually about 2 yards long, and five inches wide. The stole was the most expensive, with pure velvet at $25:00 per metre, needing 1.5 metres. Total cost for both $59:50 Australian.
